Quick Change Beech 1900D

Quick Change Beech 1900D

The Task:

The Beech 1900D, is designed as a commuter aircraft for the transport of 18 or 19 passengers in a pressurised cabin. The cabin has a cargo compartment in the rear accessible from the inside. With a total seating capacity of 19 passengers, the rear row consists of 3 seats, with the third, middle seat blocking access to the cargo hold and lavatory.

For operational and economic reasons, the flexible use and layout of the cabin interior must be ensured. Depending on the requirements and passenger/freight volume, either the use/elimination of the toilet should be possible or the use of a freight quota (by eliminating the toilet) should be made possible.

The Implementation:

Three configurations in one plane

The manufacturer will deliver the aircraft in the configuration ordered (18 or 19 seats). A subsequent change to this configuration shall include a quick change maintenance instruction and an AFM supplement including a weight and balance instruction for three (3) aircraft with cabin and cargo configuration.

All related safety aspects, such as placards and markings as well as fire safety requirements, will be adapted and adjusted accordingly.

The Results:

BeOne's design organisation checked and configured the adaptation. Within a very short time, the approval (Quick Change) took place within the documentation of the AFM, AMM and IPC. The aircraft can now be operated in the desired configuration as desired.
